Kearns Mancini was asked by the Toronto Catholic District School Board to undertake a comprehensive feasibility study to arrive at a development strategy to replace the existing Senator O'Connor high school part of which was housed in Senator O'Connor's historic home and estate buildings. Following the acceptance of a development strategy that met the objectives of the Board and the local community KMAI proceeded to complete the detailed design and technical development of the school building including restoration of the historic structures.

The project, a multi-year, 22 million dollar effort involving phased construction, had as its goal the successful integration of the existing historic structures with a new secondary school to house educational programs for 1100 students and to tie all of these into the suburban fabric of parks and roads surrounding the site.
