The Don Mount Court development sits just East of the Don River north of Queen Street in Toronto. Kearns Mancini's proposed regeneration relies on the integration of the community with the surrounding neighbourhood. This integration is achieved through an archetypal Toronto pattern of urban square, streets and laneways that connect with the existing urban fabric.

The proposal embraces the issues of sustainability in the broadest possible sense. The reintroduction of square, streets and lanes gives back a sense of normalcy and connectedness with the surrounding community. This will provide the physical support for a healthier, more sustainable community.
