SYMPHONY PLACE PENTHOUSE

An interior landscape was proposed in lieu of conventional rooms. This free and open configuration created great continuity of interior space and long internal views, culminating in views of downtown office towers and Lake Ontario. All exterior windows were removed and replaced with higher quality frameless fixed and turn-tilt windows to make the exterior window walls more transparent.

Following the demolition of the old interior, it was decided to keep some of the existing structural concrete exposed to view at both walls and ceiling. Custom details were developed for all interior components. Millwork comprised several types and colours of wood in combination with stainless steel, lacquered hot rolled steel, and matt black curved acrylic panels.
